DrinkoraDrinkora Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Sorin Studio processes information when you use Drinkora and contact support. Drinkora helps you discover and prepare drinks. Current versions use an account, paid subscription access, a personal drink library and account backup. Features can differ in older versions.
Accounts and sign-in
We process your account identifier, sign-in provider, email address and display name where supplied by Apple or Google, profile information supplied by the sign-in provider, and account timestamps. Firebase Authentication and the sign-in provider process authentication information. We do not ask you to send passwords by email. Your account identifier connects your library and membership status to your account.
Your private drink library
The app saves favorites, pantry ingredients and optional quantities, shopping lists, preparation history and timestamps, optional star ratings and notes, personal recipe versions and serving plans. A local copy supports use on your device. Library changes are automatically backed up to Google Firebase services when your account and connection are available. The Profile backup screen lets you check the last successful backup, back up now and restore. Signing in on a new device can restore an existing backup.
Backups are associated with your account, and the app restricts access to that account. They are not a public profile, community feed or end-to-end encrypted service. Our service providers process stored data to operate the service. A backup may be delayed while offline or when a connection, account or service is unavailable. A restore can replace the current library; the app saves a local recovery copy before a manual restore. Different devices can have conflicting changes, so a newer backup is not silently overwritten.
Photos you choose
If you choose to add a photo of a drink, the app receives the image you select through the system photo picker. It resizes and re-encodes the selected image and removes embedded EXIF metadata before uploading a private copy to Firebase Storage under your account. We do not upload your entire photo library. Personal drink photos are private within the app and are separate from the licensed editorial images shown in the recipe catalogue. You can remove your uploaded photos from the app.
Purchases and subscriptions
Apple and RevenueCat process information needed to purchase, restore and maintain access, including product and transaction identifiers, purchase and entitlement status, app user identifiers, store region, currency, prices, renewal or expiration information, eligibility and refund information where applicable. Current plans are monthly and annual; an introductory trial may be available to eligible annual subscribers as displayed by the store. Existing lifetime purchases can continue to be restored where applicable. Store pricing and eligibility govern the offer. We do not receive your payment card details from Apple.
Device settings, reminders and spoken steps
Language, measurement preferences and unfinished preparation progress are stored locally. If you allow notifications, the app can schedule local preparation reminders. Notification text may include the name of the drink you are preparing. You can change notification permission in device settings. The app can keep the screen awake during supported preparation steps and use sound or haptics. If you choose “read this step”, recipe text is passed to the operating system’s speech engine; voice availability and processing depend on the device and speech-engine settings. This feature does not require microphone access or record your voice.
Technical information and support
Our service providers may process app and SDK version, device and operating-system information, locale, IP address, timestamps, service requests and error information needed for authentication, downloads, storage, purchases, security and reliability. If you contact info@sorin.tech, we process your message, contact details and the information you provide in order to respond. Avoid putting passwords or unnecessary sensitive information in notes, images or support messages.
Crash reports
When the iOS app crashes or hits a serious error, Firebase Crashlytics receives a crash report: the stack trace and error message, app version and build, device model, operating-system version, orientation, free memory and disk space, and a random installation identifier created by Crashlytics. We do not attach your account identifier, email address, name or library content to crash reports. Reports are used only to find and fix defects and are retained by Crashlytics for 90 days. Development builds do not send crash reports.
Usage analytics
The iOS app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, for example how many people finish the introduction, open the subscription offer, start a subscription, start or finish a drink, or rate a drink. It records these events with the drink identifier and category, the plan chosen and a star rating where relevant, together with an app-instance identifier, device model, operating-system and app version, country and session times. We do not attach your account identifier, email address, name, notes or photos, and the app does not use the advertising identifier or track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Development builds do not send analytics.
How information is used and shared
We use information to operate the app, save and restore your library, provide the features you request, maintain subscription access, respond to support and rights requests, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or use app data for third-party advertising tracking. Data is shared with service providers as needed for these purposes, at your direction, or where required to meet legal obligations or protect rights and security.
Service providers
- Google Firebase: authentication, account metadata, private library backups, photos, crash reporting (Crashlytics), usage analytics and hosting of editorial assets and legal pages.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store transactions, refunds, reviews and device services.
- Google: Google sign-in and device services where used.
- RevenueCat: purchase infrastructure and entitlement validation.
- Email and support providers: delivery and handling of support requests.
Retention and deletion
Local library data remains until you remove it, delete your account through the app or remove the app’s local data. Removing the app does not itself delete an account backup. Account backups and private uploaded photos are retained to provide restore and library features until you delete the relevant data or your account, subject to necessary security or legal retention. Deleting an item locally can take time to be reflected in a successful backup, so check backup status before changing devices. A local recovery copy may temporarily contain the earlier library after a manual restore.
The account deletion action in Profile removes the app’s account records, private backup objects and uploaded photos and clears that account’s local workspace, after you sign in again to confirm. An internet connection is needed to complete server deletion. Contact support if you cannot access the account. Purchase and entitlement records held by Apple or RevenueCat, and support, fraud-prevention or legally required records, may be retained for their applicable purposes. Deleting your app account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage or cancel it separately in your Apple account.
Your choices and rights
You can edit or remove supported library content, remove uploaded photos, change device permissions and request account deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection. Contact info@sorin.tech with the app name and enough information to locate your account. We may need to verify your request.
Legal bases and international processing
Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, we process data to perform our service contract, meet legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and support, or with consent where required. Sorin Studio and its service providers may process information outside your country; applicable safeguards and service-provider terms govern those transfers.
Children and age-restricted content
The service is not directed to children under 13, and alcohol-related content is intended only for people legally eligible to access and prepare it in their location. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can address it.
Security and updates
We use access controls and safeguards appropriate to the service. No transmission or storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure. We may update this policy when the app or our processing changes; the updated date identifies the current version.
